The Democratic Club of North Florida Presents

A retrospect of the destruction of the African-American community of Rosewood and how the State of Florida came to offer college scholarships to the descendants of its residents is the topic of the monthly meeting of the Democratic Club of North Florida Monday, January 24.

Attorney and lobbyist Martha Barnett, who was the catalyst for the reparations bill, is featured speaker following a slide show of the history.

The noon meeting is in the program rooms of the downtown Collins public library. A social with a light lunch begins at 11:30 am for which a donation is asked.
