DCNF Picnic This Saturday, July 24
The Democratic Club of North Florida cordially invites you to the
10th Annual Picnic and Political Rally
4 to 7 p.m., Saturday, July 24, 2010
Lee Vause Park, Lake Jackson, in Tallahassee[1]
The afternoon will feature music, good food, and speeches by our Democratic elected officials, candidates, and representatives from campaigns and Democratic organizations.
BBQ dinners will be available from 4 to 5 p.m. at a charge of $10 per adult and $5 for children 12 or under. Tickets will be sold at the entrance to the pavilion.
The speakers program will start promptly at 5 p.m. Please let me know in advance if you would like to be on the program to speak and, due to time constraints, we ask that you limit your talk to three minutes. Candidates may wish to set up tables near the pavilion in order to display their campaign literature.
The DCNF extends a special invitation to all officials and candidates to have a little fun by helping us serve the meal. Please let me know if you would like to take a “shift” at the serving table.
Finally, the DCNF is suggesting that our rally-goers bring a small donation of school supplies that will be distributed among students in Leon County public schools.
Please contact Mary May (850-562-0594), or mmay@fsu.edu, by July 23 to confirm that you will be on the program to speak, serve some meals, or need further information.
We hope you will join us for this big event!
