The Democratic Club of North Florida

10th Annual Picnic and Political Rally

4 to 7 pm, Saturday, July 24, 2010

Lee Vause Park at Lake Jackson in Tallahassee

The afternoon will feature music, food, and speeches by our Democratic elected officials, candidates, and representatives from campaigns and Democratic organizations.

BBQ dinners will be available from 4 to 5 p.m. at a charge of $10 per adult and $5 for children under age 12. Tickets will be sold at the entrance to the pavilion.

The Speaker program will begin promptly at 5pm! (See below for confirmed speakers, as of 7/10/10.)

The DCNF is encouraging our rally-goers to bring a small donation of school supplies that will be distributed among young students in Leon County public schools. The Legislature has been called into Special Session on Tuesday, July 20 -23 to consider a Joint Resolution legislation that would place the question of drilling in state waters on the ballot for November. Please join Crude Awakening, the Florida Wildlife Federation, Hands Across the Sand, 1SkyFlorida, and other Florida organizations to show statewide support for this ballot initiative. Our message to the legislators is – Let the people decide!!
