November Meeting

    

THE DCNF WELCOMES THE CHAIR OF THE FLORIDA DEMOCRATIC PARTY

The November meeting of the Democratic Club of North Florida will be held from 6:30 – 8 p.m., Monday, November 16, at the Amtrak Station, with Congresswoman Karen Thurman, Chair of the Florida Democratic Party since 2005, as the featured speaker.  Under Thurman's leadership, the Party has elected its first Cabinet official since 1998, picked up three Congressional seats, nine State House seats, and helped deliver Florida's 27 electoral votes for President Barack Obama.  Thurman will discuss the condition of the
FDP and other items related to the coming election year.

• Elections will be held for new officers and board members.
• Security is provided at the Amtrak Station.
• The meeting is free and open to the public.
• From 6:30 to 7 p.m., light refreshments will be available for a donation.

Upcoming events:Annual holiday party, 4 – 7 pm, Saturday, December 12, at the home of Emily Millett.   Guests are asked to bring a covered dish. More details will be

Monthly meeting, TUESDAY, January 19.  Speaker is Robin Johnson, head of the
TCC Workforce Foundation.  Time and Location will be forthcoming.
