Come to the Next Gathering of the DCNF Monday

The Democratic Club of North Florida welcomes the Mickee Faust performers to the Democratic Club's Monday, October 20, meeting at the LeRoy Collins Downtown Library, meeting rooms A & B. The reception begins at 6:30 with the cabaret beginning at 7:00. Members are requested to bring a finger food or beverage to share. The meeting is free and open to the public.

The Mickey Faust troupe will spoof the current political and economic climate locally and nationally.

Democrats in Florida know that if they put Florida in Barack Obama's win column, his election as the 44th President of the United States looks very promising. The October meeting will give volunteers and activists a brief reprieve before returning to the very serious business of electing Democrats locally and nationally.

The Mickee Faust Club is Tallahassee Florida’s tongue-in-cheek answer to a certain unctuous rodent living in Orlando. But the Faust Club’s name also plays homage to Goethe's good German doctor whose struggles with the devil mirror the group's own.

The leader of the club is Mickee Faust himself, the foul-mouth, illegitimate sewer rat brother of that better known, better groomed cartoon creation. In real life, this cigar chomping, male rodent is deaf, female performance artist Terry Galloway.

A brief business meeting will include the nominating committee presenting the slate of candidates for the coming year.

Upcoming meetings:
November 17, Noon, LeRoy Collins Library. Panel discussion of reporters interpreting the impact of the recent November Election.

December 6, 4:00 - 7:00 Democratic Club's Holiday Party at the home of Emily Millett. Members are asked to bring a holiday treat or beverage or pay $5.
